We just put in new door stops throughout our house.   These are far superior to the old ones…they’re louder.

Just some cute pics

Audrey and I were playing tonight before she went to bed, and she kept laughing at random things so I took some quick pictures.  There’s nothing better than a baby that’s laughing so hard you can see down their throat.

What is your favorite thing that your family has to eat for Christmas dinner?  We have some amazing dishes that we make every year, but this year we’re considering making some new things.  So, if you have something that you look forward to every year, would you consider sharing the recipe?  It can be the main course, side dish, drink, dessert, or whatever you like best!  There’s even a small prize for the recipe that my family likes best!

A Weekend to Remember

For Christmas last year, my parents gave Andrew and me tickets to A Weekend to Remember retreat.  It’s a weekend marriage conference that teaches God’s design for marriage and family.  If you ever get a chance to go to one, you should!  There are conferences all over the US, but we decided to attend the one in Charleston, SC.  It was really fun!  My parents met us in Charleston, and watched Audrey the whole weekend while we attended the conference.  In addition to the conference, we enjoyed some great seafood, shopping, walks, etc.  Here are a couple of pics:

What are some things that you do to strengthen your relationship?

Thanksgiving in Nebraska

We got to spend Thanksgiving up in Nebraska with Andrew’s family.  It was a great trip!  All of Andrew’s sibling and their families were there (which is impressive given that all four kids live in different states).  The plane ride there was a tad stressful (kind of a given if your flying with a 7 month old time bomb), but once we got there we had a good time.  Lots of laughs, food, football, snow, and time with the family.

We also got to meet our niece, Isabel, for the first time.  She’s just two days younger than Audrey so it was fun watching them play together, and to witness the one cat fight that broke out over a book. 🙂

Here are a couple of pics of the girls:

The highlight of the weekend for Andrew was going to the Nebraska vs. Colorado game on Friday.  The highlight of the weekend for me was watching my brother-in-law, Mo, drink a gallon of milk in under 10 minutes.  Gross, but hilarious!  So, what was the highlight of your Thanksgiving weekend?

1st day on the job

So, this is my first official day at my new job…being a stay at home mom.  So far it’s been a good day.  We got up, picked Dino up from our friends who watched him over Thanksgiving, took Audrey to the doctor for her 6 month shots (okay, so that part wasn’t good), went to the grocery store, stopped by the library, gave Audrey a bath, worked out while she napped, and now I’m starting on dinner.  I’ve always wondered how I would fill up my time if I didn’t have a full time job, but amazingly, it seems to fill itself!

Here are some pictures of bath time just to make this post cute 😉
