Tag, you’re it

Audrey has become TOTALLY obsessed with Dino. If he’s in the room, she’s watching him. He is somewhat less obsessed with her, and I’m quite sure he’ll come to despise her once she’s mobile.

Oh, and she learned to sit up…kind of!

Today we went to Stone Mountain, and had a blast!  Stone mountain is full of rednecks and corny attractions, but it can also be a ton of fun!

Here we are in front of the mountain:

Then we went to the pumpkin patch:

We ate lunch there, and Audrey got to sit in a highchair for the first time…she LOVED it:

Then we hiked up the mountain!!!  Andrew got to carry an extra 20 pounds the whole way up!

We finally made it to the top:

We’re always joking that if Audrey’s not smiling, then she looks like a cod fish.  This picture is a perfect example.

What a fun day!

My favorite cousin, Lisa, gave Audrey this cute outfit.  Doesn’t it make her look older?  It’s her “preppy” look.

And here’s a picture of her sitting up on her own.

We need your help!

Well, maybe “need” is a strong word.

Andrew and I are big fans of Netflix.  Let’s face it, it’s a whole lot easier (and cheaper) to rent movies these days than it is for us to go to the movies.  But I need some new movies or TV series to add to our list.  So…what movie or TV series is a “must see” in your opinion?  If we haven’t already seen it, we’ll add it to our list.

Audrey is getting her first tooth, and consequently, slobbers on EVERYTHING!  She also has been sticking her tongue out a LOT lately, which frankly, looks hilarious because she inherited my freakishly long tongue!  She has also learned how to roll from her tummy to back and back to tummy.  So now anytime we put her down and walk away for five seconds we come back to find her lodged against the couch or table.  She just starting to push up onto her hands and knee too so we know that she’ll be crawling in no time.  Guess I should start to think about “baby proofing” the house.  🙂  Here are some recent pics.

Okay, so that last picture I just put in there because I think it’s funny.  🙂

Last night we went to the county fair with our friends, Drew and Colette.  It was a lot of fun!  We went to the petting zoo, ate carny food, saw a LOT of strange people and some impressive mullets, and had a great time.  Here are some pics from the evening.

Audrey loved it, but had total sensory overload with all the unique lights, sounds, smells, etc.  By the time she hit the car seat, she was out!

Dino’s definition of a BAD DAY!

One of the things that I don’t like doing, but can’t justify paying someone else to do, is grooming the dog.  You see, long-haired chihuahuas get a little ratty looking if you don’t cut their hair, or at least Dino does.  So, today it was time (actually, past time) for a haircut and bath for the dog.

Of all of the words that Dino knows, “haircut” and “bath” are two of his least favorite.  They’re right up there with “vet” for him.  Even though he hates getting a haircut and bath, he’s pretty good while your doing it and just gives you evil glares, but never tries to bite or anything like that.

Today I decided to document the event for your viewing pleasure.

Doesn't he look handsome? And he smells MUCH better too!

Doesn't he look handsome? And he smells SO much better now too! We call this his "High & Tight" cut.

By the way, we know that we love this dog WAY too much.  But even the dog deserves his own post every once in a while.
