Dino has been staying with our friends, Drew and Colette, for the past week. On Saturday they brought him back over to our house and he got to meet Audrey for the first time. We were a little worried about how he would react to having a baby in the house, but so far, he’s done really well. He’s acting a little more needy and is a bit more of a freak than normal, but he’s been sweet with the baby.

And, here’s just another picture that I think is cute. I don’t know what she’s doing with her hands, but that’s how she was sleeping.

Our new niece!

So, here’s another baby picture, but it’s not of Audrey.  This is our new little niece Isabel Marie.  Michele and Andy (Andrew’s sister and brother-in-law) welcomed baby Isabel into the world on May 7th.  She was 7lbs 4ozs and 19 3/4 inches long.  Congrats to Michele, Andy, Logan, and Tamra!  How fun to have cousins that were born so close together!

More pictures

We’ve taken more pictures in the last 4 days than we’ve taken in the past year! Anyway, here are a couple more of Audrey that we think are pretty darn cute (but we think everything she does is cute).

I promise to one day blog about something other than the baby.  But for now, we can’t find anything cuter to put on the blog, and plus, we don’t get out much now.  🙂

Audrey Elizabeth

Just wanted to share some more pictures of our little girl. Yesterday was a bit of a rough day for all of us since none of us got a wink of sleep on Monday night (well, maybe Andrew got an hour of sleep), but today we are all feeling MUCH better. We are enjoying getting to know one another and we fall a little more in love with her every time we see her. After hanging out with her for a while, we’ve decided that the name Audrey seems to fit her best. Thanks for all your votes on the blog! 🙂

My parents are in town to help us out with these first few days, and we are SO thankful to have them here!!! Here’s a picture of the proud grandparents:

We called my parents when we first got to the hospital on Monday around 1pm to let them know that Audrey was on the way. They packed the car and got on the road to drive down to Atlanta at 1:30pm and were in our hospital room before 9:30pm. Now, I have driven from Columbus, Ohio to Atlanta, Georgia dozens of times and I don’t think I’ve ever made it in less than 9 hours. My Dad managed to make it in under 8 hours…think someone was excited?

Well…she’s finally here!!! After only 6 hours of labor and 20 minutes of pushing, our little girl made her debut! We still haven’t picked a name, but you can place your vote in the comments section. Your options are Audrey, Hannah, or Isabella. We may choose to ignore your vote, but feel free to leave one anyway. 🙂

Here are the stats: She was born on May 5th (Happy Cinco de Mayo) at 7:35pm. She was 7lb 9ozs and 21 inches long. We are all doing well and about to try to get some rest.

We will probably be here until Wednesday afternoon, and feel free to come visit. We just ask that you call first to make sure that it’s a good time. You can call either of our cell phones.

Here are some pictures from her first hour of life…we both look a little rough, but hey, it was a rough day.

This is Diane (my midwife) who is an ANGEL! She was such a blessing through the entire thing!

First family photo:

Who do you think she gets those long limbs from???

“Who are you?”

Remember this post about how Andrew likes to cut down our trees? Well this one isn’t going down without a fight. This was the picture taken in March right after Andrew took a saw to the tree:

The Stump on March 6th

And here’s a picture taken of the same stump/tree today:
The Tree on May 4th

I think Andrew has met his match, and the tree is winning.
