Andrew put our stroller together this weekend, and we decided we needed a test subject (insert Dino).

This picture is for the out of towners who haven’t seen the big belly in a while. How big can it actually get???

Now that’s a big belly!

Baby’s Room

I’ve had a few requests for pictures of the baby’s room so here they are:

People keep asking me if we’re “ready”. There are several different answers to this question, because there are several different interpretations of the question.

Q: Is the room ready?

A: Well, it’s ready enough. She doesn’t even know that she has a room, so I figure it’s more ready than she’s expecting.

Q: Are we ready to be parents?

A: Are you ever ready to be someone’s parent? Or to be responsible for another human? Probably not.

Q: Am I ready?

A: Ready to not be pregnant anymore and be the sole occupant of my body…yes! 🙂

Q: Are we ready to go to the hospital?

A: Well, not quite yet. No bags have been packed and the car seat is still in the box, but I’m hoping we still have several weeks before we really need to be ready for the trip to the hospital. We have planned our trip to “tour” the hospital. We do that next weekend. So at least after next weekend, Andrew will know where to go to get the ice chips.

Happy Easter everyone! It has been a busy and amazing weekend for me. We had a Good Friday service at Buckhead Church that words just can’t describe. The service programming staff (some of the most creative people on the planet) just knocked this one out of the park! It was slightly dark and disturbing, which thinking about the events that took place that Friday should be. There were so many cool creative elements to the service; videos, music, artists on the stage painting…it all came together masterfully. You couldn’t help but be taken back to that Friday, the cross, the pain, the suffering, and the fulfillment of God’s plan to save us through Jesus.

Here’s a picture of the painting that the artists painted on the stage during the service:

And one of the videos:

The Easter services were amazing as well, and the place was packed. Over 7,000 people got to hear the good news that God loves them and has provided a way to have a relationship with them through Jesus Christ. Now, that’s exciting!

On the drive home, Andrew and I were talking about the weekend and about how truly blessed we are. Blessed to serve a God that would send his Son to die for our sins, blessed to have a church that is focused on reaching people that don’t know Him, and blessed to be surrounded by people so committed and creative that it’s obvious that they were made in the image of THE Creator.

Two years ago today, Andrew and I were surrounded by our friends and family and saying our “I dos”! It was a great day! I can’t believe how fast the past two years have gone by, and how much I’ve loved being married to Andrew! There’s never a dull moment with him, and he has added so much joy, comfort and depth to my life. Happy Anniversary Andrew! I love you!!!

Here’s a look back on our wedding day two years ago:

Baby Bump

I thought I would post a picture of the ever growing baby bump. This is me at 31 weeks (about 7 months). Of course I’m eating in this picture because that’s what I spend about 90% of my time doing these days. 🙂

The 7 month bump

And here’s a picture of me and my fabulous Mom. She came in town last weekend for a baby shower, and a few games of “Ticket to Ride” with Andrew (they are obsessed with that game). It was great to have her here! She’s one of the most fun people I know!

My hubby…the lumberjack

The other day I went outside to see what Andrew was doing (he’d been out working in the yard for a while), and this is what I found…

Bottom of the tree Top of the tree

This use to be one tree. Andrew has this obsession with cutting down trees and taking out large shrubs. Granted, this tree was a little close to the house and probably needed to be cut down. However, I keep catching Andrew looking at this tree (that’s in the middle of our yard) with that same crazy look in his eyes:

Next victim???

Is this tree next??? Maybe it’s because I grew up in Texas where shade was more precious than your first born, but something inside of me just hates the idea of chopping down a tree.
