Warning…

Unless you are part of our immediate family, this is going to seem like a really lame post (in fact, it may even be lame to our immediate family). However, I’m posting this video for the few people (Mom & Lisa) who live out of town and will find this hugely entertaining!

Tagged…5 things

I recently got “tagged” by my favorite cousin, Lisa, so I’ll kick this week off by letting you know some random things about me.

5 Things on my to-do list today:
1. Take Audrey to the doctor
2. Shower (sounds simple, but has taken on new difficulty with having a newborn)
3. Pack Audrey’s bag for preschool tomorrow (that’s right, I go back to work tomorrow and Audrey starts preschool)
4. Think of something to make for dinner (any suggestions???)
5. Go to the grocery store

5 snacks I like:
1. Iced coffee
2. Chips and dip
3. Crackers and hummus
4. Granola bars
5. Brownies

5 things I would do if I was suddenly a billionaire: (we’re going to go ahead and assume that I’ve already given to church, charity, family, etc. and just list the shallow stuff here)
1. Take a vacation to Italy (Andrew has always wanted to go)
2. Hire Stacy London to go pick out a whole new wardrobe for me
3. Buy a private jet so that we could go visit family anytime we want and fly them to visit us
4. Go on a cruise every 6 months
5. Buy a house and some land so that we can have several horses

5 bad habits:
1. Not calling people back (I’m not a big fan of talking on the phone)
2. Procrastinating
3. Wanting to do everything myself and not asking for help
4. Eating when I’m bored
5. I get really excited about new projects, but don’t do a good job of finishing them

5 Places I have lived:
1. Tulsa, Oklahoma
2. Corpus Christi, Texas
3. Lubbock, Texas
4. Plano, Texas
5. Atlanta, Georgia

5 Jobs I’ve had:
1. Babysitting
2. Gymnastics coach
3. Worked in the NICU
4. Worked on a horse ranch
5. Working at Buckhead

5 Things people don’t know about me:
1. When I was pregnant, I had a new tooth come in. That’s right, a new tooth. I have to get it pulled this fall.
2. Pickles make me gag
3. I love a good debate
4. I don’t like desserts that include citrus fruits (key lime pie, lemon bars, etc.)
5. I NEVER imagined that I would be working for a church, much less that I would LOVE it.

Happy Father’s Day

I feel very blessed to be surrounded by amazing Fathers. My own Father is the most generous and intentional person I’ve ever known. He did an amazing job of providing and caring for my Mom, me and my five siblings growing up. I love you Dad! Now I get to watch Andrew be a Dad, and it’s such a fun experience. He does such a great job of taking care of me and Audrey. We are very well loved! Thanks for all you do, Babe! We love you!!!

For Father’s Day, we got Andrew a hammock. He’s been wanting one forever! I think they’re all enjoying it.

Audrey had her 1 month doctor’s appointment today, and the doctor said she was “perfect”…I agree. She also got weighed and she is now 10lbs 9ozs. That’s 3 pounds more than her birth weight (and twice as much as Dino weighs)! She’s also started smiling which is so much fun for Andrew and me!  I’ll try to catch a picture of that sometime soon to post.

Here’s a picture of the big girl and her healthy rolls!

I idea of a baby wearing shoes is about as pointless as putting perfume on a pig (at least until they can walk). However, they are SO adorable!!! We have Jill to thank for this cute pair of kicks.

And this picture I just thought was sweet:

Day at the park

On Sunday, we packed up the family and spent several hours at the park. It was a really fun time. We had a picnic, played some bocce, relaxed in the shade, and Dino spent the entire time chasing squirrels and birds (We’re not sure what he thinks he’s going to do with one if he ever catches it, but it’s funny to watch him try).

A picture of the girls just chilling on the blanket:

Dino was so tired from “hunting” all day, that we decided to let him take a ride:

How do they sleep like that?:
